Bhai Balwinder Singh returns to a radiant home!

Balwinder Singh Khunkhuna has finally been reunited with his family and the scenes of pure joy and happiness is evident for the world to see.
In prison serving 5 years, Balwinder Singh and his family had been supported by Sikh Relief to help maintain the Chardikla of his beautiful parivar.

Sikh from across Europe have gathered today at the Geneva headquarters of the United Nations Commissioner for Human Rights Office.

They have handed a written memorandum of concern to the UN about the case of Bhai Arvinder Singh, Surjit Singh and Ranjit Singh, who have been convicted of waging war against India and sentenced to life imprisonment, with the only incriminating evidence of such being, the possession of literature related to Sikh historical events and personalities.

Sikh Relief Advocate Kulwinder Kaurhas met with Jathedar Bhai Sahib Bhai Jagtar Singh Ji, who is currently serving a full term life sentence for alledgedly being involved in the murder of Cheif Minister Beant “butcher of Panjab”, and remains lodged in Delhi’s Maximum Security Tihar Jail in India’s capital.

The meeting was used to discuss Bhai Sahib’s current state of health since the Delhi High Court judgement last year demanding his spinal injuries be treated and monitored regularly by pertinent medical practitioners at a Delhi hospital and provisions be made for comfort during particularly painful spells, Bhai Sahib was appraised of the current legal situation regarding his outstanding cases also.

Members of the Canadian organisation, Indians Abroad for Pluralist India (IAPI) have held a demonstration in Surrey Sunday 10th March protesting the sentencing of three young Sikh activists in Panjab to life imprisonment for possession of literature related to Sikh historical events and personalities.

The entire legal process, judgement and sentences have been strongly denounced by Senior law figures, politicians of various parties and human rights groups across the world, culminating in a very tense demonstration outside the Indian High Commission in London 9th March where some pro BJP miscreants chose to antagonise and inflame the emotions of a community protesting the criminalisation of Sikh historical literature and even pictures.

India's new false arms case against innocent Mitha Singh - desperate attempt to justify life sentence

Bhai Arvinder Singh (referred to as Mitha (sweet) Singh by friends and family) has today been taken from prison by the Panjab Police allegedly in connection with arms offences.
The fact is not lost that he is one of three Singh’s convicted of waging war against the Union States of India and sentenced to life imprisonment without any evidence of such a preposterous accusation offered by the prosecution at trial.

While the global Sikh community has a lived experience of Indian political chicanery, disenfranchisement and outright genocide, the rest of the world has watched in silence, unwilling to accept or recognise that Sikhs cannot hope to receive justice in India.

The events surrounding the guilty verdict and sentencing to life in prison of Bhai Arvinder Singh, Surjit Singh and Ranjit Singh have reaffirmed this reality for the Sikh nation yet again.
In a judgment completely without precedent they have been accused of waging war against the Union States of India by simply raising their voice on social media for the rights of Sikhs to observe their religious institutions free of political interference and being in mere possession of books and pamphlets that record historical events of Sikh history. One of them is written by the Indian general Kuldip Brar, who had attacked the spiritual centre of the Sikh faith with tanks in 1984.

India's democratic credentials and judicial system has come into sharp focus 31st January 2019.
The long running saga of Bhai Arvinder Singh aka Mitha Singh and his two companions of having been arrested by the notorious Panjab Police over three years ago and charged with waging war against the Nation has come to an unbelievable conclusion.

Released after 19 long years from Amritsar prison, Bhai Hardip Singh Ji thanks the worldwide Sangat for all the support which he had received.
