One of the Sikh Relief Three Peaks challenge participants shares his experience:

This weekend, I took part in the National Three Peaks challenge to climb the highest peak in England, Scotland, and Wales. This was the single hardest challenge, both mentally and physically I have ever taken part in. n Friday night to start with Ben Nevis in Scotland and arrived there around 9 am. After getting ready and having breakfast we started the climb and made it to the top and back in roughly 6 hours. This was definitely the hardest peak to climb for me personally and there were moments where I thought I wouldn't make it to the top and that I should just head back down, but I persevered! Next was Scafell Pike, which we started the ascent at midnight. There is NO clear path, it is EXTREMELY rocky, and due to the time we started, it was pitch black with very low visibility. We made it to the top incredibly quickly because we strayed off the path (not deliberately) and climbed up in a straight line. Finally, we climbed Mount Snowdon, easily the most beautiful mountain we climbed with the best view. At this stage we were all so worn out and sore but used the fact there's a restaurant at the top as motivation to get to the top as quickly as possible!! I am immensely proud of the team that took part and completed the challenge. Without them it would have been a very boring, and somber event. There wasn't a single moment that was uneventful!! Thank you for helping to keep a very high morale! Finally, we managed completed the challenge in 22 hours and 51 minutes and raised £18k for charity!! Thank you all for being a driving force in this challenge and for donating! I will now be training for my next challenge, this October, myself and a few others will be climbing the tallest free standing mountain in the world, Mount Kilimanjaro but beflre the time for some pizza methinks!
