LANGAR SEVA IN NEPAL

Today, our team travelled out of the capital city of Kathmandu, to distribute langar among the people affected by last week's disastrous earthquake.
Guru Nanak's concept of langar, a free kitchen for all people regardless of religion, caste, colour, creed or gender, was a revolutionary move in the caste-ordered society of 16th century India. Langar expresses the ethics of sharing, community, inclusiveness and oneness of all humankind.

Today in Nepal, the queue of people receiving a free hot meal courtesy of Guru Nanak, was never-ending throughout the day!
