Shaheed Bhai Mehl Singh Shehzada, Ajnala was martyred during the height of the Sikh Genocide of Beanta and his bloodthirsty Punjab Police 16 May 1992. Having been illegally taken into custody by the police, Bhai Sahib was subjected to indiscriminate and savage torture before being martyred in secret.
The family of Bhai Shehzada were not even granted the legal right to arrange a funeral or religious final rites of a supplication prayer by Government supported genocidal regime.
Bhai Mehl Singh Shehzada had two sons, one of whom left for his heavenly abode not long after his father, while the second now finds himself in a very difficult situation due to ill-health.
The family is not without hope and has set up a shop for their continued wish to live a dignified life and be responsible for their own livelihood. Due to their current poor financial condition however, they have found themselves slowly and eventually unable to fund the purchase of a wide range of goods to sell. The family wants to make an honest living under their own Kirat as per the Hukkam of Sahib Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and ask the Sangat to give them a hand up.
Sikh Relief humbly asks the Guru’s Piyari Sadh Sangat Ji to support the family of Shaheed Bhai Mehl Singh his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, the future of whom remains in doubt without the help they request to be allowed to support themselves today for a better tomorrow.
Sikh Relief asks the Guru Piyari Sadh Sangat Ji to not just financially support the family however to also give ideas on goods that can be sold and where they can be sourced at market value.
