Bhai Savinder Singh became a martyr at the hands of the Indian Army in June 1984 while selflessly guarding the Sri Darbar Sahib from the Indian Army’s attack. He is survived by his wife, Bibi Amarjit Kaur and mother Prasinna Kaur, who have continued to suffer repeatedly from the actions of the government in 1984 as they have been forced to live a dignified life of poverty.
While the Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted lives at risk, the lockdown to protect against the virus has been the the straw that broke the camels back in terms of poor families surviving the economic hardship brought by the safety measures. What was an everyday struggle have become mountainous challenges simply to make ends meet.
Please share a thought for them in this time of trouble and uncertainty, the family of Shaheed Bhai Savindar Singh needs the support of all of us so that they can live with continued dignity and self esteem.
Our humble benti to the Guru’s own Sangat is a request to help the Shaheed family generously so that this family of Warriors does not feel isolated and alone at this time. Please help us to support today for a better tomorrow
