Former prisoner says he’s blessed with a reconstructed home…
Sikh Relief has been officially supporting Sikh Prisoners of Conscience for 12 years, whether providing legal representation or welfare in jail or complete support programmes for their families outside. Children’s education, medical treatment and family sustenance have all been pillars of support offered to those struggling under the circumstances they find themselves in.
As such, having been requested to help reconstruct the dilapidated house of Satnam Singh, a former Sikh bandi, the Sangat was approached with humility and they accepted our benti with the vigour and Chardi Kala that Sikh Relief has become eternally grateful for.
The reconstruction of Satnam Singh’s house is now complete and he has expressed complete indebtedness to the Guru Roop Sadh Sangat Ji’s Apar Kirpa and wishes to be blessed to remain an obedient and humble servant of the Almighty Giver of Life and Breath.
Taking the opportunity to make a personal comment Satnam Singh said, “Now I will be able to live life under a safe roof with my family. I thank the Guru’s Sangat for their contribution in building this house for me and my family and feel blessed beyond words. Its a debt I owe the Guru and their niyara Panth. I shall never forget this seva. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.”
Please continue to donate to our projects so that Sikh Relief can continue to support today for a better tomorrow.
